Newport's Hawthorne House was constructed in 2002 and designed specifically to accommodate guests. Hawthorne House of Newport is located in the city's south end (known as the “fifth ward”). Universal design concepts, which include a single-story layout and other accessible features, make this residence friendly to all. Your privacy is assured as we accept just one reservation at a time – in other words, you will be our only guests.

Also enjoy long-term stays at our single-family Gooseberry House, located directly behind the Hawthorne House, offering 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a beautiful living room, and a fully equipped gourmet kitchen. This private home was constructed in 2010, originally built to accommodate our parents. It is fully wheelchair accessible with a stamped concrete ramp to the front porch and another ramp inside the garage, hardwood and tiled floors, wide doorways, roll-in shower, and more. It is typically rented by-the-month in the summer (June, July, August, and sometimes into September) and for longer-term winter rentals of 6-9 months - it can also be rented on an annual lease when available. It is fully furnished, beautifully decorated, and completely equipped and supplied.
